This past year, I have been thinking a lot about my physical and mental health and have even taken the extra step to implement self-care activities into my daily life. One of these activities is my daily walk that I take with my coworkers during our lunch hour. Getting out of the office has been a great way for me to take a break from my work, get some fresh air and enjoy the outside world. I’m lucky enough to work near Downtown Pomona which hosts both the Arts Colony and Antique Row. It’s such a vibrant part of town, and it’s a great place to take a leisurely stroll because there is beautiful artwork anywhere that you turn.My favorite piece of art in Downtown Pomona is this beautiful mural that can be found next to La Bomba Vintage on 2nd Street. You probably can’t tell from the picture that this was a very cloudy day because the mural just brightens up everything around it.

Speaking of cloudy days, I’m so glad that it’s finally sweater weather in California!  I love it when it gets cold outside because I feel like I’ve suddenly inherited a new wardrobe. I’ve been meaning to wear this long-sleeved lace dress from Free People for a while, but I hadn’t had the opportunity until now because of the endless Summer in SoCal. This dress can be little too dressy for work (or taking a leisurely stroll through town), so I paired it with a denim jacket and black tights to tone it down a bit.

I really hope that I am able to enjoy this sweater weather for a while longer. As much as I enjoy my daily walks, they can be unbearable in extremely hot weather. And as I said before, I’m really just looking forward to be able to implement layers into my daily wardrobe.

P.S. These beautiful photos were taken by my wonderful coworker Ashley Madeline. She has a new blog about her Etsy shop which you can check out here.
