Last week was one of those that had me yearning for the weekend; it was a tough week in terms of work and my personal life, and I couldn’t help but feel anxious all the time. I just really needed time to myself so that I could rest and collect my thoughts.
I would say that my outfit this weekend reflected my mood. All that I wanted to do was get some rest and relaxation in, and not have to worry about anything. Black and white are simple and classic colors that are perfect to wear when you just want to feel comfortable and don’t want to put too much thought into your outfit. There’s also something about wearing black and white that always makes me feel like I have some sort of stability and balance in my life, which is exactly what I needed.
Aside from having time to wind down, what I really enjoyed about this weekend was that I got to spend some time bonding with my siblings. We didn’t do much, but it’s just nice when we can all get together and catch up or watch an episode of Scandal (I mean, who wears black and white better than Olivia Pope?). I have two younger sisters named Alejandra and Sarah, and a little brother named David. Even though my family can be a bit crazy at times, I am so close with my brother and sisters that I could never imagine things being any other way.
I must say that I feel rejuvenated after this weekend, and I’m crossing my fingers that this week will be much better than the last. The great thing about the beginning of the week is that it’s an opportunity to get a fresh start. So, here’s to new beginnings!
