It’s a constant struggle for me to find sunglasses that are flattering on my face, so I was very sad when I accidentally broke my favorite pair of black round sunglasses a few weeks ago. Luckily, Sunglassesshop.com contacted me around the same time and came to my rescue by sending me a very similar pair of round sunglasses from the brand London Retro. The shades I picked out from Sunglassesshop.com’s selection are called the “Nancy” Multicoloured Sunglasses in Tortoise and, even though you can’t tell from these pictures, I love that there are fun specks of blue throughout the frames. I wasn’t too sure if I would like the gray lenses since they look a bit translucent on the website, but they are much darker and opaque in person.

I think this pair of shades complemented my outfit perfectly because they kind of have a rocker vibe to them. I’m not trying to say that I’m cool and edgy, because I’m certainly not, but I did feel very confident in this outfit. There’s something about wearing a leather jacket and boots that just makes me feel like a badass and like I can take on any challenge life throws my way, no matter how sleepy and tired I am, which I certainly was in these pictures.

I hope you all had an amazing weekend. Even though I had a lot of work, I finally felt that I had some room to breathe for the first time in over a month. Because of my busy schedule, I haven’t been exploring Portland as much as I would like. Therefore, since I had some free time on Friday morning, I did some driving around my part of town and visited a nearby coffee shop called Saint Simon Coffee Company. It’s a very cool space and I definitely want to go back, but I’m trying not to get too attached to one coffee shop since there are so many to explore around this area and I’m trying to stop being such a creature of habit. While we’re on that topic, what are some ways you all try to break away from the routine?

xoxo,
Helen
