I was in L.A. over the weekend and I loved being able to show off my legs, pale as they may be at the moment. This collared shirt and skater skirt combo has to be one of my favorite outfits on the blog to date because it’s comfortable and easy to put together, but still looks very classic and chic. You could easily wear it to the office with a pair of heels or flats, or you could go for a more fun look and add a statement necklace and ankle boots like I did. You can even wear it with tights if you live somewhere cold and bare legs are just not an option.

If you’re wondering why I was back in L.A. this weekend, it was so that I could be a part of my dear friend Gaby’s awesome superhero-themed wedding. The bridesmaids and the groomsmen had to dress up as the cocktail party version of Marvel superheroes and villains, and I had so much fun dressing up as cat woman. I mean, how often do you have an excuse–other than on Halloween– to wear a pretty dress and cat ears all day long? That being said, the best part of that day was knowing that one of the sweetest people I know found her life companion; I wish the newlyweds all the best.

Another great thing about being back in L.A. was getting to hang out with family and friends and visit a few of my favorite spots. However, I feel like my stay was too short and I definitely didn’t get to reconnect with everybody I wanted to. I guess I’ll have to wait until December to do just that.
