 Now that it’s officially fall, it’s only a matter of time before I have to start packing on all the layers. Before that happens, I’ve been taking advantage of the slightly cooler weather to experiment with transitioning summer pieces into the new season. This denim jacket and floral dress combo are just one example of that.

You might remember this dress from this post a few weeks back. Although it makes a spectacular summer dress, the warmer colors also make it appropriate for fall. All you need to make it wearable in the cooler weather is the right layering pieces. Here, I’ve paired it with a denim jacket for a more casual look. However, you can also wear it with a leather jacket and boots for an edgy style. If you want to go for a more bohemian look, an oversize cardigan and suede boots will do the trick. Or, you could wear a pullover over this dress and easily turn it into a skirt.
