Today’s photos are brought to you courtesy of last week’s surprise snow day. Although I had lost hope to see snow this winter season, Portland proved me wrong last week. I woke up on Tuesday morning with every intention of going to work. However, soon after I received a text from management informing me we had closed our office due to snow. I’m sure you can just imagine my excitement when I ran to the window and saw that it was true. Having two surprise days off was equally exciting, and I made sure to enjoy them to the fullest. That entailed watching a lot of Netflix and drinking many cups of hot tea.

Of course, I couldn’t stay indoors all day when it was this gorgeous outside. My outfit of choice for snow day #2 included one my most recent thrift finds: a Blank NYC faux leather jacket. I found this jacket at Modo Boutique, one of my favorite consignment shops here in Portland. Shopping at Modo is always enjoyable for me because they have a nice curated selection of pieces. A faux leather jacket has been on my wishlist for a while, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this one at such an affordable price. These jeans are another thrifted find from Modo, so I’ve definitely been lucky on more than one occasion.

I love shopping second-hand because you never know what kind of treasures you’ll find. My tip on being successful is to check back often and have an idea of what you’re searching for in mind. While you can find this jacket here, I challenge you to search your local consignment/thrift stores for similar styles.
