I told myself that I would blog more often during quarantine and, 6 months later, I have only managed to produce 1 or 2 posts. It’s been so hard to recommit to this space for many reasons. To start, I’ve had so much more screen fatigue than ever before. And, when I do have free time, it’s become easy to just be lazy and watch hours and hours of TV.

But these past few weeks, I’ve really been feeling the itch to find my way back to this creative outlet. I started this blog as a way to get out of a rut and I’m hoping that this time around, it’ll help me adjust to this new “normal.” So, here we go…

Speaking of a new “normal,” Ale took these photos of me in the early days of quarantine. Those were the days when we thought we’d only be indoors for a few weeks. Even then, I knew that I wanted to do my part to support small businesses. So, I started to keep my eye out for brands and pieces that caught my eye.

Of all my quarantine buys, this leopard skirt from Whimsy & Row has been one of my favorites. I love that the pattern is a more classic take on leopard print. It’s also a fun piece that’s very easy to dress up or down, so you’ll get plenty of use from it all year round. In terms of fit, I’d suggest you go up a size if you want to wear this skirt with sweaters in the fall and winter.

My love for Whimsy & Row doesn’t start and end with this skirt. I’m in love with the brand itself! The shop is women-owned, their exclusive designs are sustainably made, and their designs are versatile but not boring. I can’t wait to visit their brick & mortar in Venice once things settle down and things start reopening here in LA.

While I’m much more careful about how I build my wardrobe these days, I look forward to introducing you all to more cool brands like Whimsy & Row. And, hopefully, I’ll find more energy to get off my couch and share a bit of my everyday life in quarantine.
