Staying Cozy in a White Teddy Coat

It’s so funny to think that a year ago I was tough enough to survive fall and winter in Portland and, nowadays, I rush to put on my warmest jacket whenever the weather drops below 70 degrees.

Speaking of jackets, this cute white teddy coat from Compañía Fantastica is the latest addition to my wardrobe. I’ve mentioned a few times that I’ve kept my shopping to a minimum because I’m trying to build a sustainable and well-curated wardrobe. This jacket seemed like a good thing to add to my closet because it’s versatile and is so different than anything I own. It works well with a casual outfit like this, but I can’t wait to also style it with more dressy pieces in the next few months.

Although, I must admit that since I spend so much time indoors, you’re more likely to find me in leggings and with slippers on most days. So, needless to say, this was probably the third time I’ve ever worn these aubergine clogs from Lotta from Stockholm. I’ve had the peep-toe style for years, so I’m confident I’ll get plenty of use from these once things reopen and I have more reasons to get fully dressed.

I must say that I am very excited about cooler temperatures. For one, it feels so much easier to stay indoors and social distance. It’s the perfect time for me to get reacquainted with my indoor hobbies such as baking, crafting, and enjoying a cuppa while reading a good book.

Cooler weather also signals that the Holidays are around the corner. My sister and I have already started decorating for the season and can’t wait to put up our Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. My sister, our housemate Gaby, and I are planning a full day of decorating, crafting, Holiday movies, and baked treats. It’s going to be so much fun and I simply cannot wait!

Do you have any fun activities or traditions that you’re looking forward to in the next few months?
