Tan Wide Leg Pants and Lace Top

Everlane Wide Leg in Ochre and Who What Wear Collection Top Drama Sleeve Top and Everlane Pants in Tan Kat Von D Lolita II Lipstick // Who What Wear Collection Mixed Lace Top // Everlane Wide Leg Pants Everlane Wide Leg Crop Pants and Bell Sleeve Top in White Kat Von D Lolita II Lipstick // Mixed Lace Bell Sleeve Top Easy Summer Outfit: Cropped Wide Leg Pants in Tan and White TopI’ve loved the Everlane wide leg pants ever since I first bought them in white (as seen here). That is why I didn’t have to give it a second thought to purchase them in a different color. I bought this ochre brown color because I liked how it looked online and thought it would add variety to my wardrobe. I think the deep brown color adds a nice balance to more girly pieces like this top from the Who What Wear x Target collection. It also pairs well with a strappy silk tank or cute crop top. Plus, I need to emphasize the comfort of this piece. It’s so easy to move in, the fabric has a good amount of stretch, and the wide leg fit is perfect for summer.

Since I’m not the best at accessorizing, I also try to purchase items that have a bit of flare to them. This mixed lace top from the Who What Wear collection definitely fits the bill. I absolutely love the drama sleeves and lace detail. Furthermore, I’m a fan of the price tag! Who What Wear has come out with some incredibly cute and reasonably priced pieces, and I always find myself going to see if there’s anything new everytime I’m at Target. This striped dress is next on my wish list!  Are you a fan of the collection?

I hope you all had a great weekend and have an exciting week ahead of you. I have to be honest that I’m already looking forward to the next weekend when my friend from back home will be visiting me. It’s always fun to show people around my new home! Plus, I’m also counting down the days before I head out to New Orleans at the end of this month, to celebrate my sister Sarah’s 21st birthday. I’ve never been, so it will be a fun experience for all of us. Let me know if you have any must-sees to add to my itinerary!

    All Black Everything

Thrift shopping has become one of my favorite pastimes over the past year for many reasons. I love the sustainability aspect of it and knowing that I’m helping the environment. But even more, I enjoy the thrill and challenge of giving new life to another person’s “trash.” This black ribbed mini dress is one of my recent and most favorite finds and I struggle to understand why anybody would get rid of it.  Continue reading

Exploring Sustainable Style with Saya Designs

.Saya Designs Hair Pin, sustainable style  Sustainable Style with Saya Designs Wooden Hair Pins Saya Designs Hair Pins _ Sustainable Style

When SAYA Designs invited me to review one of their hairpins, I was beyond excited. I’ve been trying to develop a more sustainable style, and SAYA designs helps me do just that. While hairpins are trending these days, these pieces are unique because of the sustainable approach founder Victoria and her team take to crafting them. Each hairpin is made from salvaged root wood from abandoned plantations in Indonesia. And that’s not all! For every hairpin you buy, SAYA partners with local nonprofits to plant up to ten endangered trees back into the rainforests. Now, those are two initiatives that I can definitely get behind.

Although it was hard to pick among all the beautiful designs, I chose the Frangipani hairpin. Another reason I was excited to test this hairpin was that my hair is finally long enough to play with. This was the perfect accessory to do that with because there’s so much you can do. Plus, it adds a fun touch to your look overall.  Saya has plenty of hair tutorials for all different lengths, which is helpful. I’d suggest you check them out if you’re considering purchasing one of these fun accessories.

I also have to add that this piece is extremely practical. It fits right into your purse, so you can carry it around in case you need a midday hairstyle change. I know that this will probably be a good way to ditch the habit having a hair tie around my wrist. haha!

Let me know if you check out SAYA designs and which piece is your favorite. 🙂
